Privacy Policy, Terms of Use & Membership Agreement
Friends of the Movement Global (“FotM”)
This Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Membership Agreement (“Agreement”) governs access to and participation in all Friends of the Movement Global (“FotM”) programs, websites, applications, campaigns, membership offerings, directories, reporting systems, merchant platforms, advocacy initiatives, communication channels, and related services.
By registering, enrolling, accessing, browsing, participating in, or using any FotM service, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.
1. Who We Are
Friends of the Movement Global (“FotM”) is a membership-based organization and technology platform focused on economic empowerment, consumer engagement, business visibility, community impact, spending analytics, educational initiatives, advocacy participation, and related programs designed to strengthen communities through organized economic activity.
2. Membership Participation
Participation in FotM programs is voluntary. Membership may include access to:
- Community initiatives
- Business directories
- Educational resources
- Events
- Campaign participation
- Merchant engagement opportunities
- Reporting tools
- Rewards programs
- Referral programs
- Community communications
- Economic impact initiatives
FotM reserves the right to modify, expand, suspend, or discontinue any membership benefit at any time.
Membership fees, where applicable, are generally non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.
Membership does not create ownership rights, partnership rights, voting rights, securities interests, or equity interests in FotM unless expressly provided through a separate written agreement.
3. Our Privacy Commitment
Protecting consumer privacy is a foundational principle of FotM.
- We do not sell individual purchase information.
- We do not sell transaction histories.
- We do not sell personal spending behavior.
- We do not sell financial account information.
- We do not sell personally identifiable consumer purchasing information to merchants, corporations, advertisers, advocacy organizations, political organizations, data brokers, or third parties.
Our objective is to measure collective economic impact, not to monetize individual consumer behavior.
4. Aggregated and Anonymized Reporting
FotM may generate reports, dashboards, economic measurements, participation metrics, campaign reports, business reports, community impact reports, and related analytics.
Whenever reasonably possible, information used for reporting purposes is aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified to reduce the likelihood that individual participants can be identified.
Reports may include:
- Community spending totals
- Geographic trends
- Category trends
- Campaign participation metrics
- Merchant participation metrics
- Community impact measurements
- Economic activity summaries
The purpose of such reporting is to understand collective activity rather than individual behavior.
5. No Direct Access to Consumer Financial Accounts
FotM is not a bank. FotM does not accept deposits. FotM does not hold customer funds. FotM does not maintain access to consumer banking credentials.
FotM does not store:
- Online banking usernames
- Banking passwords
- PIN numbers
- Security questions
- Authentication credentials
Where financial connectivity services are utilized, such services may be facilitated by independent third-party providers utilizing encrypted connections and commercially reasonable security safeguards. FotM personnel do not have access to consumer banking credentials.
6. Data Security
FotM utilizes commercially reasonable administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect information entrusted to the platform. Security measures may include:
- Encryption technologies
- Access controls
- Authentication procedures
- Security monitoring
- Audit logging
- Fraud detection tools
- Vendor reviews
- Role-based permissions
- Industry-standard cybersecurity practices
No system can guarantee absolute security. Users acknowledge that all electronic systems carry inherent risks.
7. Third-Party Services
FotM may utilize third-party providers to support platform operations, including:
- Payment processors
- Hosting providers
- Analytics providers
- Communication providers
- Identity verification providers
- Security providers
- Artificial intelligence providers
- Rewards providers
- Customer support providers
- Financial connectivity providers
Such providers maintain their own terms, policies, and practices. FotM is not responsible for the actions, omissions, outages, failures, or security incidents of independent third-party providers.
8. User Responsibilities
Participants agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Maintain account security
- Comply with applicable laws
- Respect other users
- Use platform services in good faith
- Avoid fraudulent conduct
Users are responsible for activity occurring through their accounts.
9. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not:
- Submit false information
- Submit fraudulent spending activity
- Create fake accounts
- Misrepresent businesses
- Interfere with platform operations
- Circumvent platform security
- Upload malicious software
- Violate intellectual property rights
- Engage in unlawful conduct
10. False Reporting Policy
The integrity of platform data is critical. Individuals who knowingly submit false information, fraudulent reports, fabricated spending activity, manipulated records, fake businesses, or misleading information may be subject to:
- Account suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Loss of rewards
- Membership revocation
- Removal from programs
- Civil legal action
- Referral to law enforcement when appropriate
11. Intellectual Property Rights
All trademarks, service marks, trade names, proprietary systems, software, databases, content, reports, methodologies, graphics, designs, algorithms, educational materials, campaign structures, websites, applications, and related intellectual property associated with FotM are protected by applicable law.
This protection includes, without limitation:
- Friends of the Movement Global®
- FotM®
- Our Money United®
- SWAYM®
- Black Wall Street Ticker®
- Conscious Spending Ticker®
- Corporate Friends®
and all associated logos, slogans, visual identities, reporting systems, content, technology, and proprietary methodologies.
Unauthorized copying, distribution, licensing, reverse engineering, scraping, commercialization, republication, or derivative use is strictly prohibited.
12. Artificial Intelligence & Analytics
FotM may utilize artificial intelligence, machine learning systems, automation technologies, predictive analytics, reporting systems, recommendation systems, and algorithmic tools to improve operations and user experiences.
Such tools are informational in nature and do not constitute legal, financial, investment, tax, or professional advice.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
All services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. FotM makes no guarantee regarding:
- Platform availability
- Platform performance
- Specific outcomes
- Economic results
- Business growth
- Campaign results
- Revenue generation
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FotM, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, advisors, affiliates, sponsors, licensors, and partners shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from participation in the platform.
15. Class Action Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, users agree that disputes shall be pursued solely on an individual basis and not as part of any class action, representative action, collective action, or consolidated proceeding.
16. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located within Georgia.
17. Changes to This Agreement
FotM reserves the right to modify, amend, replace, update, suspend, or discontinue any portion of this Agreement at any time. Continued participation following publication of updates constitutes acceptance of such changes.
18. Acknowledgment
By accessing, registering for, enrolling in, or participating in any Friends of the Movement Global service, I acknowledge that:
- I have read and understand this Agreement.
- My personal purchase information is not sold by FotM.
- FotM does not have access to my banking credentials.
- FotM utilizes aggregated reporting whenever reasonably possible.
- I agree to the privacy, membership, participation, security, and intellectual property provisions contained herein.
- I agree to comply with all platform rules and requirements.
