FotM Global means Friends of the Movement. It began with one powerful question: What if every dollar, every day, every time had impact—and real sway?

What if spending did not disappear into someone else’s market, but showed up in a live marketplace we are building together—where every action has sway?

35 years in the making.
It started with Young Entrepreneurs and Associates (YEA). College interns served as referral agents, and one phone number connected the community to local small and Black-owned businesses.
The idea was simple. People needed trusted places to spend. Businesses needed customers. Communities needed a better way to connect their own spending to their own growth.
Our founder has spent decades organizing communities with a different understanding of power. We can vote, protest, and march, but history proves real power also comes from voting with our wallets. Dr. King died while organizing economic power; FotM carries that lesson into a data-driven marketplace where people know their friends and move money with intention. This same principle now shows up as organized demand inside a live consumer marketplace.
FotM is that idea grown up. What began as referrals, relationships, and community connection is now a live consumer marketplace built for organized demand.
Built from a proven organizing principle.
FotM was inspired by the organizing power of civil rights leadership. The lesson was clear: when people move together, institutions respond. FotM brings that same principle into today’s economy through technology, market visibility, guided spending, alerts, registration, dashboards, and near real-time consumer activity.
Already in motion: In partnership with the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce—the actual Black Wall Street chamber that helped spark this campaign—the ecosystem has grown to more than 170,000 members organizing their spending—clear proof that the marketplace is no longer an idea, but actively being built.

FotM is the company and platform. Voter Wallet OS powers the tools. SWAYM is the consumer action tool that runs on Voter Wallet OS. Impact Central is the social hub driving everyday engagement in the consumer marketplace, with Yapit serving as a community engagement layer. The Conscious Spending Ticker shows the movement.

SWAYM
The consumer tool used before spending. SWAYM is the platform and “sway” is the action: to sway is to direct spending with intention, influence outcomes, and move with others to shape the market. Search, decide, support, redirect, and move dollars with intention. It helps users move with clarity—supporting aligned businesses first, and when unavailable, directing spending toward allies and Corporate Friends contributing to the ecosystem.
Conscious Spending Ticker
The system-wide ticker that shows consumer activity, spending movement, and organized demand in near real time. The Black Wall Street Ticker is one branded lane within the system, with additional community, campaign, and partner tickers able to merge into the same marketplace.
Impact Central + Yapit
Impact Central is the social hub for everyday engagement in the consumer marketplace—posting, sharing, referrals, training connections, and movement activity. Yapit supports the social/community layer that helps people stay connected and active.
Friendship is proven over time.
Corporate friendship is not a slogan. It is measured through consistent behavior, support, investment, partnership, hiring, visibility, and real reciprocity.
Economic resistance needs accountability.
The Pressure Index holds organizations and leaders of economic resistance efforts accountable by asking who is boycotting, why, what the strategy is, which companies are part of the negotiation, and how households benefit from the outcome.

FotM does not just say where not to spend. When a Black-owned business is available, SWAYM helps people find it. When one is not, consumers can support aligned allies and Corporate Friends who are showing up, investing, and helping build the ecosystem.
How it works in real life.
Simple actions become visible movement. Conscious Spending Rails guide decisions at the moment of purchase. Conscious Spending Groups help churches, chambers, campuses, cities, and organizations move together. Visible movement becomes organized demand, and organized demand helps merchants grow. This is where individual choices become coordinated economic movement.
A diner wants somewhere aligned.
They open SWAYM, find a nearby Friend of the Movement restaurant, and spend there. That action supports a merchant and contributes to the live consumer marketplace.
A chamber starts a spending group.
The Greenwood Chamber, Black Wall Street chambers, churches, campuses, cities, and organizations can launch Conscious Spending Groups around shared goals—creating real organized demand inside the marketplace.
A customer gets a nearby merchant message.
When consumers are near a participating Greenwood merchant, Voter Wallet OS can send messages and alerts that guide them to spend locally and support aligned Friends of the Movement.
A business gets discovered.
Merchants are not just listed. They gain visibility, trust, repeat traffic, and access to ready-to-move demand from consumers who know who to support.
From “support Black Wall Street” to measurable participation.
The Greenwood Chamber of Commerce—the actual Black Wall Street chamber—can launch a Conscious Spending Group, register consumers and merchants, promote participating businesses, send proximity-based alerts, and show the movement through the Conscious Spending Ticker. The Black Wall Street Ticker is one branded lane within that larger ticker system. Instead of hoping people remember where to spend, the platform turns support into guided daily action.
